Victor Hugo endorsed his Te Rapa weekend prospects with encouraging work at Cambridge today

Galloping on the outside of a heavy No.3 Grass, Victor Hugo (Jago) returned 40.1 for 600m.  The debut winner was under a good hold throughout and looks a strong chance of  repeating his recent winning performance.

Last start winner Barbaric (McNab), looked at peak fitness for his weekend assignment,   when coasting 600m in 43.6.   Bob Valdez (Gatu) travelled well throughout 800m in 55.   Chill Bill (Legg) and Gesemi (Jago) ran the concluding 600m of their work in 41.4.
