Track Work – Thursday, 4 April 2013

Diademe endorsed her prospects for Saturday’s NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes at Te Aroha with a nice work out on a dead plough at Cambridge this morning

Diademe (German) left 1400m behind in 1:35.2, the last 600m in 39.4. She looked fit and should bounce back to her best form.

Twilight Granita (McElroy) was sent 1000m in 1:8 finishing off in 38.6. Genius (Bussy) looked in good order for Te Aroha when sprinting 800m with stablemate Swami (Hutton) and Kodema (Holmvest) in 53.

The Tidy Express (Macfarlane) was timed from the 600m in 41. Mistaar (German), who should be most competitive at Te Aroha, worked nicely alongside Makadoo (Roustoby) over 1200m in 1:17.7, the final 600m in 37.9. Barbaric (Cribben) was given a comfortable 1000m in 1:12.5 and 43.

Veldt (Johannsen) strode comfortably from the 1400m quickening from the 800m in 51.7. Passalente (Orting) and Neo (Burgess) were paired over 1200m in 1:23.1, the last 600m in 39. Ready at Eight (Burgess) and Keepit (Hutton) were clocked from the 600m in 37.9. Romeo Whisky (Hutton) and What Was That (Orting) left 1000m behind in 1:7.2.

Working on the No.1 grass Waterford (Donoghue) came in from the 600m in 38.2.
