Track Work – Thursday, 5 July 2012

Waipa candidates Hurricane Mickey and Snave worked well together at Cambridge today, when fog interrupted the timing of most gallops.

Working on a heavy No.2 grass, with the markers out 15 metres Snave (Murphy) was sent 1400m and was joined by stable mate Hurricane Mickey (Roustoby) at the 1200m, completing the distance in 1:24.4, the last 600m in 39.7.  Both were travelling well throughout the gallop.

Last start winner Le Moussier (Macfarlane) worked over 2000m at three quarter pace, quickening from the 600m in 40.9.  He travels to Sydney tonight and will race there this weekend.

Chill Bill (Orting), who is in consistent form, was given an easy task when completing 1000m in 1:11, the 600m in 42.  Falce (Donoghue) and Nazreena (Gillies) completed 1000m in 1.9.  Hug A Ginga (Norvall) was clocked from the 1000m in 1:10.2.   Zabreeze (Browne) ran 600m in 41.7.   Lily Diamond (Macfarlane) left 1000m behind in 1:9.4.

Working on the sand Little Alfie Brown (Frank) came in from the 600m in 41.6.  Mac Orla (Murphy) and Neo (Orting) cut out 800m in 53.08.  Thorndyke (Anderson) and Thunderbird One (Roustoby) came to the end of 1000m in 1:8.8, the 600m in 41.  Winsome Hawk (Orting) ran the last 600m of 1000m in 41.4 and Piccolino (Collins) returned 43 for 600m.

Te Awamutu Track Tip – Hurricane Mickey – has been unsuited by holding tracks – working well.

Best Bet — Snave

Outsider – Little Alfie Brown.
