Track Work – Tuesday, 13 March

Nancho Bella returned the best gallop at Cambridge today. 

Galloping on the inside of the No. 2 grass Nancho Bella (Brennan) kept up a strong pace over 1000m in 1:1, dashing the final 600m in 35.  She looks fit for immediate racing.  

Twilight Grenata (Orting) and Mistaar (Brendon) matched strides over a solid 1000m in 1:2, sprinting the 600m in 35.7.  La Vienne (Dally) and Soldier’s Leap (Macfarlane) impressed over 1200m in 1:16.2, the last 600m in 35.3.  Crangie Star (Thornton), a recent trials winner, and Vanilla (Prouse) were clocked from the 600m in 35.7.

Guns at Five (Hills), who races next in the New Zealand St Leger Stakes before going out for a spell, did well over 1400m in 1:28, the 600m in 35.5.  Cool and Suave (O’Shea) worked in from the 1000m in 1:2.6, the 600m in 36.3.

Run Like Al (Waddell) followed up last week’s trials win with an encouraging 1000m in 1:3, the 600m in 35.6.  Leadership (Doyle) left a comfortable 600m behind in 39.7.  

Eastward (Hills) and Snagglepuss (Woods) worked well together over 1000m in 1:2.1 and 35.2.   Fast Love (Moore), Jeu de Cartes (Fallon) and Queen of Pop (Orting) left 1200m behind in 1:16.6, the concluding 600m in 35.9.

Done Deal (Houston) had Watch King (Emma) for a companion over 1000m in 1:4.4, the 600m in 37.6.  Moira (Mickey) and Physicist (medium weight) came to the end of 1000m in 1:6.1, finishing off in 36.  The Money Goes Around (Crawford) and Platinum Playboy (Waters) were timed from the 600m in 36.6. 

Floreat Days (McNab) ran 800m in 54.  Miss Isle (Ivil) travelled sweetly from the 1400m in 1:30, the last 600m in 36.7.  The Diamond Duke (Harris) worked in from the 1200m in 1:21.8, the 600m in 39.

Working on the sand Hurricane Mickey (Brendon) and Snave (Emma) ran 800m in 54.  Tilda (Ormsby) completed a comfortable 1200m in 1:24 and 40.
