Navigator relished the loose conditions when returning the quickest time during a quiet session at Cambridge today. 

Working on the inside of a heavy No.2 grass Navigator (M Cropp) left 1200m behind in 1:20.6, sprinting the last 600m impressively in 36.8.

Snave (Murphy), who is close to another win, was another who was untroubled by the conditions, came to the end of 1200m in 1:18, sprinting the 600m in 37.7.   Jacks Run (Dalley) enhanced his chances for Hastings on Thursday when covering 1000m in 1:8, the last 400m in 25.6.   Worthing (Cameron) was timed from the 1000m in 1:8.1, finishing off in 38.     

Son of Zoff (Macfarlane) was sent 2000m, the 1400m in 1:40.3, the last 600m in 41.4.   Storming the Tower (Gately), who races at Tauranga on Wednesday, was given a breeze up over 600m in 40.   Starsun (O’Shea) reeled off 600m in 39.7.   Marciano (Wenn) ran 1400m, the last 1000m in 1:7.6, the concluding 600m in 38.5.

Mr Rimfire (German) and Ishma (Roustoby) worked nicely together from the 1200m in 1:25, the 1000m in 1:8 and the 600m in 39.5.   Thorndyke (Stanley) and Winsome Hawk (Orting) were paired over 1000m in 1:7.3, coming home in 38.1.
