Track Work – Tuesday, 20 December 2011

Full of Spirit was in fine form when preparing for Christmas racing on a dead No.1 grass at Cambridge today.  The markers were out wide.

Full of Spirit (McFarlane) had plenty in reserve at the completion of 1400m in 1:33.1, the concluding 600m in 37.4.

Veronica Franco (Andrew) hit out nicely from the 1400m with The Terminator (Robson) following closely.  They ran the distance in 1:33.8, the last 600m in 38.8.   In form mare Lady Kipling (German) covered 1400m in 1:34.1, finishing off in 38.4.  Holy Moly (McFarlane), who ran a nice second behind talented Bergundy at the recent Cambridge trials, travelled sweetly from the 1400m in 1:33.2, the 600m in 37.9.  Stable mate Silent Achiever (Andrew) followed with similar work.  Lady Chaparral (Robson) strode 1400m in 1:36.9, finishing off in 37.7.

Galloping on the outside of the No.4 grass, which provided dead footing, Dream Catcher (Waddell) impressed over 1000m in 1:5.6, sprinting the final 600m in 36.9.  Exquisite Choice (Dally) was full of running at the end of 1000m in 1:7.1, the concluding 600m in 38.4.

Brella Belle (Ivil) and No Enemy (medium weight) matched strides from the 800m, completing the final 600m in 39.4.   Starpin (Armitt) and Say No More (Jackson) worked in from the 1000m in 1:12, finishing off in 40.9.   Mi Karamia (Cameron) left 1000m behind in 1:6.3, the last 600m in 39.2.   Platinum Playboy (Holmes) had Money in Motion (Waters) for a companion over 800m in 54.  Lucky Majesty (Murray) came to the end of 1000m in 1:6.5, the 600m in 37.9.  And Star of Show (Saucede) and a Pins Gelding (Stam) cut out 1000m in a comfortable 1:9.4, finishing off in 40.
