Alter Ego who is one of only a few Cambridge horses racing
this week-end came through his preparation in good style this
morning. He is engaged at Ruakaka on Saturday.

 
Galloping on the sand Alter Ego (Gatu) was not after time when
running 1000m in 1:10, the final 600m in 42.9. He is in
first-class order. Gin Keeper (Whitworth)strode 1000m in 1.9.4, finishing off in 42.8.
 

Working on the No.4 grass Sacred Star (Ormsby) came to the end
of 800m in 54. El Roca (Kuru), who is coming to hand well for his upcoming
Australian campaign, and Chainsaw (Young) left 600m behind in
42.

 
Galloping on the No.2 grass El Tyson (Brown) and Lover Boy (Wenn) matched strides over a comfortable 1000m in 1:9.9 finishing
off in 41.7. Denial (Bradley) sprinted 600m in 39.2.
