Romeo Whisky enhanced his Counties prospects with a nice work-out on the plough at Cambridge this morning. 

Romeo Whisky (Murphy) was sent 1000m with stablemate Kuwait (Fraser-Hayes) in a fast 1:3, sprinting the final 600m in 37.6. Romeo Whisky held a slight advantage at the finish. Brompton (Cameron) did his Pukekohe chances no harm when completing 1400m in 1:31.7, the final 600m in 38.4.

Galloping on the slow No.2 grass Kelly O’Reilly (Smith) and Queen of Clubs (Donoghue) matched strides from the 800m, the last 600m being run in 39.7. Sacred Win (Ormsby) and a Shinko King gelding (Schick) were clocked from the 800m in 52.

Working on the sand Jack’s Run (Macfarlane) left 1000m behind at three-quarter pace, quickening over the last 600m in 40.3. Cut Loose (Murphy) and Sound (Hutton) were paired over 600m in 41.4. Miss Foxwood (Reid) and Moretti (Magorrian) strode comfortably from the 1000m in 1:11, finishing off in 41.1. Horse Warrior (Hutton) and a Darci Brahma filly (Murphy) cut out 600m in 40.9. Imposingly (Norvall) was sent 800m at three-quarter pace, the last 600m in 44.8. Misstrum (Macfarlane) was timed from the 600m in 40 and Delargo Secret (Dalley) followed in 40.4.

Sangster (Young) and Barside (McNab) galloped on the No.1 grass over 1000m in 1:6.2. coming home in 38.
