Trackwork – Tuesday, 6th August 2013

Chill Bill, who has hit a purple patch of form, returned excellent work at Cambridge this morning.    

Galloping on a slow No.2 grass Chill Bill (Hutton) kept up a solid pace from the 1000m in 1:6.6, sprinting the final 600m in 37.6. He is an acceptor for Hastings on Thursday.

Impy Louis (Hills) and Cash For Lass (Burgess) worked well together from the 1000m in 1:8.1, the final section in 38.6. Orion (Murphy) travelled sweetly alongside High Flyer (Hutton) over 800m in 50.5. Kapsboy (Tim) was sent 1200m in 1:19.5, coming home in 39.1. Lola (Browne) and Beguile (Wenn) matched strides from the 800m in 54. Buckles (Nick) travelled well throughout 1400m, the last 600m in 40.4. Popeye Braggins (Marshall) followed with 1000m in 1:8.9 and 41.1. Anna Mary (Mirabelli) came in from the 600m in 43.2. Are You Devious (Shaw) ran the last 600m of 1000m in 40.9. Oh Em Gee (Harris) strode in nicely from the 1000m in 1:10.8, the 600m in 41.2. Chipinta (Thornton) was given a comfortable work-out over 1200m, completing the final 600m in 46. Cornelius (Foote) and Ginga Ninja (Kim) were paired over 1000m in 1:6.3 and 39.5.

Galloping on the No.4 grass Silent Achiever (Dalley) and Honeymoon (McGorrian) were together throughout an easy 1000m in 1:11.7, the last 600m in 40.8.

Working on the No.1 grass Sangster (Young) had the better of El Roca (Kuru) at the completion of a smart 1000m in 1:4.8, sprinting the final 600m in 37.3. Sangster is booked to begin his spring campaign in the Foxbridge Plate at Te Rapa on August  17. El Roca, who has performed well at trials, is due to make his debut at Taupo on August  19.
